OK, so I haven’t done too much art the past week, just some sketching. But the Illustration Friday topic for this week has been creating some interesting ideas in my head (more to come).

Anyway, I’ve been busy making this!

No screws, no nails, just glue and dowel rods! Its not perfect, but I had a blast making it. The wood was from a broken door in our house (notice the top and botton, and sides of the box, are made from the panels of the door). I had to strip the paint and do a whole bunch of sanding, but it was worth the effort.

I finished this yesterday, and then started on an easal…I’ll show you when I finish.
